Recording Features
Record One Programme While
Watching Another
Once recording is in progress, all you need to do is to set
the channel controls on the TV for the station you wish to
view.
● The programme selected with the TV’s channel controls
appears on the TV screen, while the one selected with the
recorder’s
PR
buttons is recorded on the tape.
Mode Lock
— To prohibit any operations during
recording
Press and hold
OK
on the remote control for more than
5 seconds. “ ” and “ ” light up on the front display
panel. No buttons will function and recording will not be
interrupted until the recording ends.
To cancel Mode Lock, press and hold
OK
again for more
than 5 seconds.
● When
OK
is pressed to set Mode Lock, the on-screen display
appears and the time counter remains on the TV screen. If the
time counter is not necessary, set “O.S.D. (PLAY)” and “O.S.D.
(REC)” to “OFF” (

NOTE:
It is also possible to use Mode lock during Repeat Recording

Accidental erasure prevention
To prevent accidental recording on a recorded cassette,
remove its safety tab. To record on it later, cover the hole
with adhesive tape, or set “REC SAFETY” to “OFF”
(
